Our Technology

We’re packing more insights into lab testing: While many diagnostics will test for one biomarker in each reaction, we use nanotechnology to assign a unique color bar to each biomarker, allowing us to test 100+ analytes at once, all in a compact, user-friendly format.

A collection of beads color-coded, for a specific disease panel, are all added to the sample to be tested. The beads bind to their specific biomarker, coating each bead with a concentration dependant amount of biomarker.

Antibodies conjugated to universal reporter dye are added, turning the degree of analyte coating on each bead into a distinct color signal.

The reporter dye is excited with a red laser and dye signal coming from each bead is imaged with a camera and processed. Signal strength indicates how much of the analyte is present in the sample.

Next, the quantum dots inside the beads are excited with a blue laser and imaged with the camera. The color of the bead indicates which target this bead is designed to detect. Bead color information combined with the reporter dye signal coming from the same bead is used to identify how much of each target is present in the sample.

Over 100 distinct color barcodes, each representing a unique diagnostic target, can be detected in the same solution.

The diagnostic assay is executed and read out by a fully automated low cost tabletop device.

All reagents are contained inside a disposable cartridge and are automatically manipulated by the device for a fully hands-off user experience.
